ESD Polyimide Dots 315°C (also known as Kapton dots) 2000/reel

£8.33

High Temperature Polyimide Dots (also known as Kapton Dots) are designed to provide exceptional protection for PCB pads and other sensitive areas during wave soldering and hot air levelling processes.

These ESD-safe dots protect critical components from molten solder, ensuring that electrostatic discharge (ESD) is prevented, and the integrity of ESD-sensitive assemblies is maintained.

Made from polyimide film, they are capable of withstanding temperatures up to 315°C (600°F), making them perfect for high-temperature soldering applications. The silicone adhesive ensures a strong, secure bond to the PCB without compromising its performance or leaving residue.

  • Backing: 1.0 Thou Polyimide film, providing excellent temperature and chemical resistance
  • Adhesive: Silicone, ensuring strong adhesion and easy removal without leaving residue
  • Total Thickness: 2.9 Thou for robust protection
  • Tensile Strength: 30 lbs./in. width, offering strong resistance to tearing
  • Elongation: 60%, providing flexibility and durability under stress
  • Adhesion to Steel: 25 oz./in. width, ensuring secure application to PCBs
  • Temperature Resistance: Up to 600°F (315°C), making them ideal for high-temperature processes such as wave soldering and hot air levelling
